This is what happens when you don't listen to the mama

THIS IS NOT GOOD! What part of lean forward, heals down, look between the ears and hang onto the mane and not the reins did Patton not understand. Tally and him parted company after this shot and Patton has never thought he knew more than his mother about jumping ever again.

Oh how grown up an 8 year old can look

Here is Patton and Tally at a show this spring. We have a saying at our house, "When Patton puts his English helmet on, it draws his brains up to where they belong and when he takes it off, they fall back to his butt."

Tally

This is Tally. She was born the same year as Patton. She now lives with friends and is quite happy to be number one.

Patton

This is Patton. He is eight, going on 28, just ask him. He loves the horses and his motor bike. In the picture above he is receiving the Sprit Award at a professional horse show. No, most 8 year olds don't show at this level. In the top photo he is at a moto cross race with his coach Cory Hardy.

Bowdie

This is Bowdie. He is going to be 11 on December 29th. He is really into Tonka and his computer. Above he is at his favorite place, "Grandpa and Grandma Wright's." In the top photo he is showing his horse Prince, which he recently decided he doesn't love anymore.

Maybe the life of a horse show person is not for him.

SeeYa

Then came SeeYa. SeeYa has won almost $100,000 in her eight year career and if I didn't know better, I would swear that we were twins in a formal life. In our house it is not "If mama ain't happy, then ain't nobody happy," its "If SeeYa ain't happy, then mama ain't happy, then ain't nobody happy."

Hope

Go then had a bouncing spoiled rotten baby girl. I named her Hope. She is now 13 and is the best baby sitter around. Patton is the kid on her back and the goat is Gus. We will talk about them both later.

Shane

Go and I then added Shane Wright to our family. He is a one of a kind man that is always there when you need him. He is a stand up guy and you can always take what he says to the bank. We were married 9-10-1994. He thinks that horses are animals and I think that they are family. I usually win this debate. :) He is a great person and father.

Go

My family started with "Go." She was my first love and my first best friend. We were together for 25 years when I sent her to heaven two years ago, she was 29. She put my through college, taught me to never give up and to be true to yourself and those that you love. She now watches over me and my family.

Heather LaRue shamed me into starting a family blog. She does such a good job, I felt like a bad Internet bragging mama. So here is my attempt to keep up with the Jones's, or the LaRue's and Ake's in this case.
